IS IT OK IF I HAVE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE?
Yes absolutely! For all the styles of yoga we teach, we adapt to the level of each individual. However, for Vinyasa Yoga sessions, we recommend a previous yoga experience. For people wishing to establish solid foundations for a yoga practice, we organize a 3-hour yoga workshop: the Yogis Workshop. This workshop will give you understanding, confidence and the ability to take your yoga practice to the next level. Learn more about the Yogis Workshop.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY OR FEEL UNWELL?
If you have an injury or feel unwell, we recommend you consult your general practitioner. Attending the class, let us know about all injuries. Depending on the injury, practicing should not be a problem by taking the right precautions and adapting the postures for your needs. Listen to what your body is telling you and move accordingly. No one better than you knows what your body needs and its limitations.
If you have a cold or flu we recommend to take rest as most of your energy will be used for your body to recover.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE?
Everyone’s needs and goals are different. Yoga is a process and, like any process, you will improve it by experiencing it. The secret of success lies in the frequency of your practice. Dedication, self-discipline and an attitude of non-judgment will be necessary to achieve your goals. Your physical, physiological and psychical body will benefit from your experimental journey in your practice and you will feel it in all dimensions of your being. Respect your limits and expect these limits to change. Be curious, experiment, challenge yourself, set goals and do your best.
Give your bodies at least two days of rest per week so that your whole being can assimilate the different elements of your practice and can recover.

WHAT THE LOGO OF KOZA YOGA MEANS?
KOZA YOGA’s logo is composed of a symbol: the kanji of « mindfulness ».
Kanji is a Chinese originated character used in Japanese writing system. This character represents words or ideas.
In the kanji used in Koza Yoga’s logo, there are two elements to this symbol. Sitting like a roof peak is the top character which means « presence, now, today, this present era, this moment ».  The bottom part of the symbol is translated as « heart, mind ».
The interpretation of these two elements is « heart and mind brought together into this very moment; full awareness with heart; state of total awareness in your whole being of the now/aliveness in any experience» therefore mindfulness.
The whole logo itself is an ode to the Eastern philosophies gathering together India, China and Japan.

To keep and foster your energy has its full potential for your yoga or pranayama or meditation class, we recommend the follows:

Generally, eat a healthy diet tailored for your specific needs which will contribute for your overall health, strength, balance, flexibility and focus in and off the session.
drink: do not drink within the 30 minutes prior your session. For Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, as you might perspire, sip 400 ml of water 30 minutes prior your session. Generally, drink adequat water daily to keep hydrated.

try to diminish all the external stimuli caused by the senses distracting and bothering you during your practice: No strong perfume (smell), no gum or anything else in your mouth (taste), not too much jewel (touch), hair tied (touch). Making your choice for the class location, make sure it should be a quiet surrounding (hearing and sight) with no wind (touch).
